Offense
QB Brandon Luczak, Sr., Kalamazoo
Luczak completed 43 of 57 passes and set school records for passing yards (473) and total offense (524) in a game in the Hornets' 47-27 win against Bluffton. He was responsible for five total touchdowns (four passing, one rushing) in leading Kalamazoo to first 3-1 start since 2003.
OL Joel Nunes (LT), Dan Nunes (LG), Chris Grande (C), Andrew Carr (RG), Jeff Smith (RT), Bridgewater State
The Bears racked up 469 yards of total offense including 394 on the ground. The offensive line did not give up a sack in a 40-14 win against Maine Maritime.
RB Vinson Hendrix, Sr., Alfred
Hendrix ran for 175 yards and three touchdowns in a 49-28 win against Springfield, which came into the game with the nation's top-ranked run defense (10 yards per game). It was the fourth time in four games that Hendrix has run for at least 100 yards. He also caught two passes for 30 yards.
RB Jonathan Pinque, So., Centre
Pinque posted career highs in both yards (181) and touchdowns (three) in the Colonels' 34-27 win over Austin College. Pinque needed only 22 carries to gain 181 yards (8.2 yards per carry) and also caught three passes for 16 yards.
WR Pat Noone, So., Bowdoin
Noone established a school record with 12 catches for 180 yards, the second-most yardage by a receiver in school history. He scored Bowdoin's first touchdown of the day on a 5-yard end-around run and caught scoring passes of 51 and 58 yards, the last of which came in the fourth quarter to seal a 50-35 season-opening win against Middlebury.
WR DeMarcus Fleming, So., Dubuque
Fleming caught five passes for 240 yards and three touchdowns, outrunning defenders en route to touchdowns of 74, 730 and 60 yards in a 42-19 win against Cornell.
WR Joel Quick, Sr., Bethel
Quick scored all four Bethel touchdowns in a 29-10 victory against Concordia-Moorhead. He caught touchdown passes of 53, 34, 10, and 35 yards from three different passers on his way to amassing 149 yards on six receptions. Quick's first touchdown midway through the first quarter put Bethel up 9-0. His second touchdown early in the second quarter proved to be the game-winner.
Defense
DL Eddie Vallery, Jr., Wittenberg
Vallery had nine tackles, four solo, in a 20-0 win against Ohio Wesleyan, including two tackles for loss, both sacks totaling minus-25 yards. In addition to all that, Vallery blocked an Ohio Wesleyan punt, leading to the Tigers' first touchdown of the game in the second quarter.
DL Darryl Brown, Jr., RPI
In a 42-33 win in the Transit Trophy Game at WPI, Brown made eight tackles, including seven unassisted and two sacks (minus-12 yards). He also blocked what would have been a game-tying PAT.
DL Aaron Steenhoek, Jr., Central
Steenhoek had six tackles, five solo, three and a half for loss and two and a half sacks in Central's 24-6 win against Coe. Coe was limited to just 10 yards rushing.
LB Jacob Vance, Jr., Trine
Vance had 11 tackles, nine solo, and a tackle for loss in Trine's win against Franklin.
LB Jamin Ramsay, Sr., UW-Stout
Ramsay had three sacks to lead UW-Stout’s sack attack against Eureka where the Blue Devils defense racked up six sacks, all solos. Ramsay’s three sacks tallied 19 yards and helped contribute to Eureka’s minus-59 yards rushing. Ramsey had a 2-yard sack to close the first quarter, a 10-yard sack early in the second quarter and his third for seven yards late in the second quarter. Ramsay finished the day with five tackles, four solo, three sacks and four tackles for losses of 26 yards.
LB Brandon Boehm, Jr., Whittier
Boehm led the Whittier defense with 14 total tackles and had the lone sack of the game for the Poets in a 28-24 loss to Menlo. Boehm tallied six solo stops and eight assists, including a tackle for loss.
LB Aaron Johnson, Sr., UW-La Crosse
Johnson had six solo tackles, including three for loss in UW-L's 48-0 victory over Division II Missouri Science and Technology. He also had one sack. Johnson and the Eagles' defense recorded its first shutout since 2007.
DB Mike Conti, So., Ithaca
Conti's first two career interceptions both set up fourth-quarter scores -- a field goal and the game-winning TD. His career-high 10 tackles, four solo, included a tackle for loss on a Utica punt return.
DB Erik Solis, So., Carthage
Solis returned an interception 16 yards for a touchdown in the Red Men's 34-24 win at Division I FCS non-scholarship Valparaiso on Sept. 26. The touchdown at 10:25 in the fourth quarter bumped Carthage's lead from 27-17 to 34-17 He had five tackles, two solo.
DB Jalon Scott, Fr., Susquehanna
Scott made his Liberty League-leading third and fourth interceptions this season to help Susquehanna beat three-time defending Liberty champion Hobart, 20-10, on Sept. 26. All four of Scott's picks have come in the last two games. He also made three tackles (two solo) against Hobart and returned the second interception 10 yards.
DB Drew Fisher, So., Linfield
Fisher equaled a Linfield single-game record with three interceptions, plus recovered a fumble as Linfield defeated Southern Oregon 37-21 on the road to improve to 3-0 for the first time since 2005.
Special teams
K Kyle Martin, Sr., UW-Stout
Martin ran his career streak of consecutive PATs to 56 with five extra points made in a 40-6 win against Eureka. He also hit a career-best 46 yard field goal with 15 seconds remaining in the first quarter to give Stout a 19-0 lead.
P Kyle Peterson, Sr., Cortland State
Three of Peterson's five punts pinned Kean inside the 20-yard line, with no touchbacks. Peterson entered the game ranked third in punting average at 43.5 yards per punt (he's now at 42.5 yards a punt through three games).
RET Andrew Christensen, Jr., Beloit
Christensen had a career day in Beloit's 42-14 win against Knox on Saturday, running up 326 total yards and scoring a school-record tying four touchdowns. He had 107 yards on five punt returns, including a 69-yard punt return for the Bucs' first touchdown. He also had 53 yards in kickoff returns, including a long of 29. He rushed three times for 15 yards and two TDs and caught eight passes for 161 yards and a 58-yard touchdown.
