No. 3 Wesley gave up a 14-point halftime lead and gave up the ball six times, but came back to beat No. 8 Delaware Valley 21-17.

Check out the scoreboard from week 3 and enjoy touring the rest of our new home.

The Wolverines took a 14-0 lead on a 51-yard touchdown run by Brandon Wright and a 59-yard touchdown reception by Ellis Krout while the Wesley defense stifled the Aggies' offense in the first half.  But, on the first drive of the second half, Delaware Valley defensive end Mike Jaskowski returned an interception 23 yards for a touchdown to change the complexion of the game.  The Aggies took the lead 17-14 on a 20 yard field goal in the fourth quarter.

On the ensuing possesion, the Wolverines converted a fourth-and-7 on a pass from Justin Sottilare to Sean McAndrew to keep their drive alive.  On the previous third down play, the officials reversed an apparent fumble recovery by Delaware Valley, ruling the running back was down before he lost the ball.  Sottilare found Leonard Stevenson for the touchdown a couple plays later and the Wolverines hung on for the 21-17 victory.  Wesley's defense held Delaware Valley to 51 yards rushing while the Aggies picked off Sottilare four times.

In other Top 25 showdowns, No. 11 Ohio Northern took care of No. 18 Otterbein 34-10 in a crucial matchup of OAC contenders.  Polar Bears quarterback Kyle Simmons completed his first 15 passes in the victory.  No. 9 Hardin-Simmons pulled away from No. 19 Mississippi College in a 45-10 win.

Wittenberg wide receiver Josh McKee had five catches for 157 yards and three touchdowns and that was just in the first quarter.  He went on to break the school record for yards in a game (318) and score five touchdowns as the Tigers routed Washington U. 37-7.  No. 5 Mary Hardin-Baylor was outgained by McMurry 512-200 but the Crusaders still pulled out a 43-31 victory.

No. 15 Cal Lutheran suffered a letdown on the road a week after its big win, falling 35-21 at Pacific Lutheran.  No. 17 Trine made a statement by defeating UW-River Falls 35-17 in Wisconsin. Concordia-Moorhead couldn't overcome a tough first quarter in falling to No. 21 St. John's 40-28. No. 23 Montclair State scored a touchdown each quarter to beat Rowan 26-7.

No. 2 Mount Union won its 45th consecutive regular season game in cruising past John Carroll 51-7.  No. 1 UW-Whitewater beat NAIA Campbellsville 37-7 in Kentucky.
